About Me 

Medical Illustrator, 3d Generalist, Animator

Kate Zumach is from Naperville, Illinois. Prior to attending the Biomedical Visualization Master's Program at UIC, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration and a degree in Entomology from Iowa State University.

She currently lives in central NJ with her husband and their, quite large orange tabby, Harold. As an avid coffee drinker and plant enthusiast when not working (usually with a cat stretched across her wacom tablet) she can be found at a local plant or coffee shop.

Her favorite project from graduate school was her project research, where she worked with paleontologist Dr. Paul Sereno, a professor at the University of Chicago and Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society, to reconstruct a 100 million year old skull.
